From a WhatsApp message to a patient in the chair

Booking, booking card, clinic calendar, reminders and the hospital WhatsApp queue. Illustration with made-up patients and businesses.

Every day, patients try to reach your clinic. Calls go unanswered. Walk-ins wait for hours. And the patients you miss go somewhere else. Meet Miadi. Your front desk on WhatsApp, open 24/7. A patient sends a message, any time of day, in English or Swahili. Miadi offers only the times you really have free, and books it in seconds. Then it sends a booking card, with a reference to show at reception. On your side, the booking appears in your calendar instantly. Type the reference, and it opens. Reminders go out a day before, and two hours before, so fewer patients forget. Anything it can't answer goes straight to your team. And it never gives medical advice. For busy hospitals, there's the WhatsApp queue. Patients scan a poster, choose a department, and get a number and a waiting time. If the doctor isn't in yet, they're told when to expect them. When the doctor arrives, everyone waiting gets a message. Reception taps Call next, and patients come in when it's nearly their turn, instead of crowding the waiting room. Less crowding for your staff. Shorter waits for your patients. Miadi. Never lose a patient to a missed call, or a long queue. Start your free trial today.

A message at 9 pm

A patient asks about opening hours and books an appointment after the clinic has closed. It appears on the calendar.

It's 9 pm. A patient has a question. They open WhatsApp and message the clinic. Miadi replies in seconds, with your opening hours. They ask to book. Miadi books it for them. It appears straight on your calendar. Miadi answers day and night. Start your free trial today.

A medical question

The assistant gives no medical advice. The question is flagged for your team, who reply after opening. It keeps answering everything else.

Read the transcript

What if a patient asks a medical question? The assistant doesn't give advice. It tells the patient the team will reply after opening. Your team sees it in the inbox, flagged and waiting for a reply. The assistant keeps answering everything else. It never guesses on medical questions. Your team answers them. Start your free trial today.

A pharmacy price check

Customers get the listed price, stock status and when it was last checked. The owner keeps the list up to date in a few taps.

Do you have Panadol? How much? A customer asks at eleven pm. Miadi answers from your price list: the price, stock, and when it was checked. You keep the list up to date in a few taps. Mark stock in or out, or confirm you've checked everything. Your price list answers customers while you sleep. Start your free trial today.

These are illustrated examples with made-up patients and items. Real replies follow the hours, prices and rules each business sets, and the assistant asks for a service and a name before it books.

Made for the whole health sector

Any health business that gets patients or customers on WhatsApp and phones, and has a diary or a front counter to protect.

Private clinics and dentists

Check-ups, cleanings, follow-ups. The assistant books real free slots and reminds patients at 24 hours and 2 hours.

Hospitals and outpatient departments

Take the repetitive booking and enquiry traffic off reception: clinic days, hours, fees and directions, with a person one tap away.

Labs and diagnostic centres

Test appointments, opening hours, preparation instructions you have written yourself, and where to collect results.

Physiotherapy, eye, skin and other specialists

Recurring sessions are easy to forget. Reminders and one-reply rescheduling keep the diary full.

Pharmacies

Book pharmacist consultations, vaccinations and health checks. Answer hours, delivery areas and prices you have set. Stock, prescription and medicine questions go straight to your pharmacist, never answered by the assistant.

Groups and chains

Several branches, one way of answering patients. Multi-branch tools are on the roadmap, and built when you ask.

The revenue you lose is quiet. You can count it.

Four leaks that every busy clinic recognises, and that a front desk working around the clock helps close.

Calls go unanswered

During busy hours and after closing, nobody picks up. People who can't get through tend to try the next clinic or pharmacy on their list.

Paid slots sit empty

A patient who forgets is an hour of chair, room or pharmacist time you can't sell twice. Most only find out when the slot is already empty.

Walk-ins wait for hours

Patients queue all morning, or are told to come back tomorrow. Let them book a time on WhatsApp instead, and with Hospital Plus, wait at home and come in when it's nearly their turn.

Reception repeats itself

Opening hours, prices, directions, delivery. The same five questions, all day, taking time away from the people in front of you.

How it works

1

A patient messages your WhatsApp

Day or night. They ask for a time, a price or directions, in their own language. No app to install.

2

Miadi books it for you

It offers only the times you actually have free, collects the name, and confirms. Your team sees it in the calendar instantly.

3

Reminders bring them back

A reminder 24 hours before and again 2 hours before. Patients can confirm, reschedule or cancel with one reply.

Five things, done properly

We ship the essentials first and add more only when clinics that pay us ask for it.

WhatsApp booking assistant

Answers instantly, offers real free slots, books, reschedules and cancels. The channel your patients already use.

Reminders at 24h and 2h

Automatic reminders in the same chat. The simplest way to cut no-shows, and the easiest one to measure.

Shared staff calendar

One calendar for the whole team. See, add, move or cancel any booking, whoever made it.

Answers the usual questions

Hours, prices, location, delivery areas and your own FAQs, taken from the details you set. It never invents an answer.

Human handover

A question it can't answer is flagged in your staff inbox with the reason, and the patient is told when your team will reply. The assistant keeps helping with everything else, day and night, and steps back only while your team is replying.

Safe by design

No medical or medicine advice. Possible emergencies go to staff immediately. Each business sees only its own patients.

What it will never do

Give medical or dental advice, advise on medicines (doses, substitutes, interactions), say a medicine is in stock or guess a price you haven't set, or book a time you don't have free. If someone describes something urgent, it tells them to call emergency services and alerts your team at once.

What is one recovered appointment a week worth?

Put in your own numbers. The sale should be easy to justify, or it isn't a good fit.

Questions owners ask

Does it work for pharmacies and hospitals, not just clinics?

Yes. Pharmacies use it to book pharmacist consultations, vaccinations and health checks, and to answer hours, delivery and prices they have set. Hospitals use it for outpatient bookings and common enquiries. Questions about stock, prescriptions or medicines are never answered by the assistant: they go to your pharmacist or staff inbox.

Does it give medical advice?

Never. When a patient describes a problem, it listens like a good receptionist: it asks a few short questions (what, where, since when, how bad), checks for danger signs, and sends your team a clear summary, which is also attached to their booking. Then it suggests the right service. It never says what the problem is or what to take: your doctor or pharmacist does. Anything that sounds urgent is sent to staff straight away and the patient is told to get emergency help.

What if it doesn't understand a patient?

It does not guess. Unclear messages, voice notes, images, complaints and payment questions are flagged in your staff inbox with a short note on why, and the patient is told the team will reply. The assistant keeps answering their other questions, such as opening hours or booking. Once your team replies in the chat, the assistant stays quiet until you hand the chat back, or until 12 hours pass without a staff message.

Do my patients need to install anything?

No. They message your WhatsApp number as they already do. Reminders arrive in the same chat.

Which languages does it speak?

It answers in the language the patient writes in: English and Swahili, and the main languages where we work, such as French, Amharic and Kinyarwanda. Fixed notices, like emergency advice, use a local language only after a native speaker has checked the wording; until then they are in English.

Can I see and edit every booking?

Yes. Every booking, whether made by the assistant or by your reception, appears in one shared calendar that your staff can edit, move or cancel at any time.

How is patient data protected?

Each business can only see its own patients. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting provider, access requires a staff login, and we are designed around Kenya's Data Protection Act. See our privacy page for details.

Does it connect to my existing calendar or software?

Not yet. The first version comes with its own shared calendar so everything stays in one place. Integrations are built when paying clinics ask for them.

What happens if I'm not happy?

Try everything free for 7 days first, with no card needed. There is no long contract and nothing is charged automatically: if it isn't for you, simply don't pay again, or cancel anytime in Billing. Payments already made are not refundable (see our refund policy).

Try it on your own business, free.

Set up in minutes, free for 7 days, no card. Or ask for our free missed-call audit: we count your missed calls and no-shows for a week, and tell you honestly if the number is small.
